God Hates the Devil, And So Should We

 Thomas Klocek, at the American Thinker today has an article entitled Corporate America Doesn't Hear Anybody. Actually, that is not true. Corporate America is listening, but not to their customers. They are listening to their masters, who in turn are listening to their overlords Baal, Asteroth, and Moleck. They are listening to Blackrock, State Street and the large banks, who have been captured by the devil.

But it is still true that the Corporations who are supposed to be listening to their customers, and delivering the goods and services their customers want and need, are not listening to their customers. Now clearly, there is a niche, very niche by the way, market for gay and lesbian paraphernalia, just as there is a small market for other "adult" stuff. But Target, being a family store, is not the place for that market. Bud lite, which used to dominate the light beer market, did not need to pick up the extra zero point something market share that Dylan Mulvaney might bring. Any rational person could see that.

"We hear you," says Anheuser Busch. But do they? The evidence says otherwise. Obviously the Democrats don’t hear the people. They don’t recognize that, in general, the people are smarter than Chuck Schumer looks. They are complaining that Biden is not getting enough credit for bringing down inflation, inflation that he created. Oh, and while inflation may be officially at 4%, that’s only because the government doesn’t include all of the things people need in their inflation calculation. And it’s still significantly higher than when Biden took office. Nor do they include the devaluation of money which is also inflation that people must deal with.

Back to Bud Light, “Anheuser-Busch’s global chief marketing officer, Marcel Marcondes, told the Cannes Lions International Festival, according to a report from AdAge. “It’s tough exactly because what we do is all about bringing people together.” So, AB’s “we hear you” isn’t exactly that. If they did hear us they would realize that the whole transgender sham is divisive (and so, for that matter, is the LGBTQ+ pride push) and promoting it will not bring people together. In fact, the whole identity politics program, including DIE, is divisive.
And, despite the experience of AB, there are companies who are apparently deaf and not hearing. “Coors Light, the light beer brand of Molson Coors, will be the title sponsor of Denver’s “pride” parade. When asked for comment, the parent company brashly defended the decision, saying they will continue to side with the transgender movement “for decades to come.””
And now the truth comes out. It’s not about accepting gays or even gender dysphoria -- it’s about grooming. “They” don’t just want to be accepted, they want to corrupt more children to their abnormal (yes, it’s abnormal, not in accord with nature) way of life. The pop music icon, Elton John, has announced that, due to the anti-grooming laws being enacted in many states, he will no longer perform in the U.S.
Sorry about that, Elton John fans. Actually, I couldn't care less.  Rush Limbaugh was an Elton John fan, but as for me?  Meh.

Once again, Klocek is right that the brands we have trusted for generations do not hear us. They are listening to Blackrock and their ilk, who are using OUR money to buy interest in these firms and turn their heads towards the devil. One thing the SEC should to is prevent such firms from using customer funds to do this. It is not their money, but invested with these firms in the hopes that they will better manage it for the peoples's retirements.  The other thing we all should be doing is praying to God to drive these demons out of our land, and turn every one to do God's will. Quite frankly, God hates the devil, and we should hate what God hates. There is nowhere in scripture that advocates we must love the sinner but hate the sin.

We need to continue to speak up, turn to God, and pray. Pray for those who push to instill their bad behavior on us and our children. We need to vote at the ballot box and with our wallets. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs 1:7)

The Duty to Defend

 This week, The Armed Lutheran has a very important podcast on the The Duty To Defend. First, Lloyd points out that the duty of men primarily, but women secodarily, to defend not only themselves but especially their children is firmly grounded in Scripture. To fail to do so is to spit on God's great gift. Indeed, when people are denied the right to arms by laws and policies that disarm people at, for example, airports outside of the security zones, or even whole cities or states, governments run counter to God's purpose and plan.

But then Lloyd offers what I think is the best take on the recent implosion of the submarine Titan at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Lloyd is not concerned that these men had great wealth, nor is God. What concerns Lloyd is that one of the passengers took his 19 year old son along with him, despite the fact that the trip required him to sign off that he understood the great risk of death it represented. He selfishly took that risk that was not justified by the potential reward, and also convinced his son to go as well, thus failing in both the duty to defend his own life and that of his son.  It is a tragedy, 

We, who carry, must pray each day that we will not ever have to use our weapons in anger.  To take a life is a terrible thing to contemplate.  But we must nevertheless be prepared.  Actually, the world would be safer if more people carried, even though they also pray never to have to use it.  One has a fire extinguisher, though one doesn't hope for a fire.  One has life insurance though one doesn't hope to die.  So it is with a gun.  One more thing one carries until Christ comes again.

Four Ways the Deep State Betrays Americans

 J.B. Shurk has a piece at the American Thinker today entitled Four Ways The Deep State Betrays Americans. It is a relatively short article, so I encourage gentle readers to read the whole thing. But, if your needs require a Reader's Digest version, here it is:

Why is America broken today? Let's see: (1) Gestapo chief Garland believes "democracy" requires obedience. (2) Chinese Puppet Biden wants to disarm Americans before they figure out they have been betrayed. (3) Free speech exists only for those under the government's protection. (4) And the Deep State has transformed the United States from undisputed "superpower" to an economic dependent of the Chinese. If an evil cabal were looking for the most effective way of dismantling America, this would be a fine working blueprint.
If the idea is, indeed, to destroy America, a lot of Americans will still have something to say. It occurs to me, in fact, that if the Deep State ever forces ordinary Americans to fight for their freedoms, those same Americans should later construct a monument consecrating their victory. Its epitaph could serve as an enduring warning: "In remembrance of all those who refused to leave others alone."
Exactly so.

Blackrock: What We Expected All Along

 James O'Keefe is the intrepid reporter who founded Project Veritas, but was eventually kicked out of that organization.  But he has come back under the name O'keefe Media Group (OMG) and has some explosive undercover footage of a Blackrock recruiter speaking frankly to an undercover reported. Here is that video. And here is O'Keefe's follow up with that recruiter.

Look, Blackrock and its CEO Larry Fink are not good guys, to put it mildly. Fink endorces ESG and feels empowered to force it on everyone else.  He seems to take the moniker "Masters of the Universe" as being a real title.  Everyone suspected it, and now O'Keefe is on the trail.

These mega-corporations need to be broken up. When it is claimed that Blackrock "owns" things, that is not entirely true. Blackrock doesn't own these businesses, the investors do. Blackrock's interference in promoting ESG and DIE at various companies goes against the best interests of the investors. These people invest with Blackrock thinking they are protecting their money and making it grow. But ESG and DIE do the opposite, as seen by the Bud Lite and Target debacle. And then there is the seemingly bizarre desire to defend the borders of Ukraine, while ignoring our own. And the entire Congress seems to mouth the same words. What gives? But when the recruiter explains that it is great for business, it suddenly makes sense.  Only, of course it is not great for you and me.

At PJ Media, Kevin Downey, Jr. has some thoughts on Blackrock as well. These companies that have gotten fat managing other peoples money have turned on those other people. They need to be dismantled, and the funds returned to the investors. A case might be made that these organizations fit the RICO statues. Alternatively, since they do have a fidcuciary responsibility to the people they work for, perhaps that fiduciary responsibility can be enforced. I would really like a lawyer to take this on.

Schlichter to Biden: Before you stare a war, be sure you can finish it.

Kurt Schlichter has yet another essay bashing Biden for his constant threats to turn the, as Kurt calls them, the Air Farce against the American people. I alluded to some of the problems Biden might face if he tried to do such a thing. But Schlichter goes into more detail, and for the record, he should know. Schlichter uses more of his trademark acerbic wit than usual in Biden and company. You can get a sense of it here:
Alleged president Joe Biden is on his “ban assault rifles'' kick again because the government apparently needs to keep firearms out of the hands of law-abiding citizens and in the hands of meth-addled whoremonger scumbags like his son. One constant component of this stumped stump speech is a line of nonsense that essentially boils down to us not needing real guns to fight government tyranny because the government – his government – will unleash the F-16s on you uppity peasants if you fail to obey your elite masters. I’m not persuaded by the argument that says, “You are crazy for thinking you need guns to resist tyranny and, also, we will murder you and your family if you attempt to resist tyranny.”
Eric Swalwell, the flatulent Chi-Com tramp-defiler – gotta credit Agent Fang2 for going above and beyond the call of booty – went even one better. Toots wanted to nuke us, so perhaps the demented dictator is just chill, limiting himself to unleashing the Air Farce on the American people. Yet one can sense a certain undercurrent of eagerness to get it on running through these unveiled threats against patriots as if the cretins uttering them have this secret desire to rid themselves of us troublesome rubes once and for all. How hard would they try to pass up the opportunity if it presented itself – actually hard, or Waco “Oh well, better light it up” hard? The senior leadership of the current woke military is probably willing to play along, though when they aren’t waving the pride flag, they are waving the white one. It’s been three decades since they won a war, and they probably feel that they are due.
But it remains unclear why military pseudo-professionals might think they will do better against 100,000,000 patriots here at home when the brass did so poorly against a few hundred thousand fanatical hill tribesmen half a globe away. At least a grizzled dust puppet like Biden has an excuse for being wrong – he was always stupid and evil and corrupt, and now he’s added a layer of senility to his bean dip o’ failure.

Julius Caesar famously overthrew a republic by crossing the Rubicon River with his legions behind him. And in many ways, the fascist far left has softened the ground for Biden's tyranny. But Caesar had an several advantages that Biden does not. One was that his legion was battle hardened, having won the French territory then called Gaul for Rome. Another was that he didn't have 100,000,000 patriots facing him. Let's see how Schlichter plays this out.

Putin’s Wagner problem provides an example of what happens when the folks you are counting on to do your dirty work start counting and realize that the numbers are on their side. But all mutinies are not openly mutinous. A little story, with the names omitted to protect the jerk involved: There once was this aviation battalion commander who was a real pain – just obnoxious – and then the battalion deployed to a combat zone. The commander continued being obnoxious, including to maintenance personnel. And suddenly, the unit operational readiness rate for the choppers dropped. This is bad. You do not want to be in a war zone and have to explain why 80% of your choppers are grounded. You can’t just order the aircraft ungrounded – you need to get the maintainers to maintain and sign off. But the OR rate kept dropping, and no amount of threats, screaming, and other fulminations could bring it up. The generals relieved the commander; oddly, the OR rate shot right up under the new CO. So, all resistance is not necessarily kinetic.

Now, there’s the tactical issue, and it’s delicate because the consequences of the threats the Delaware Dictator keeps making are seriously dank, but he opened the door, so let’s peer on in. Dementia Joe insists that an AR-15 is no use against an F-16, and this is just wrong. An AR-15 is very effective against the most vulnerable parts of the F-16. No, that does not mean a bunch of tacticool guys pumping rounds skyward when one flies over, hoping to knick a fuel cell. The most vulnerable parts of the F-16 are the guys feeding it, fueling it, and flying it. And if Biden is ordering his remaining troops to start dropping bombs on dissidents, that means he is ordering his remaining troops to start dropping bombs on the dissidents’ families. Do you expect folks whose kids got vaporized by a JDAM strike to be particularly picky about who they target in return? If you declare open season, dude, it’s open season. They say that war is hell for a reason. Maybe don’t start one.
As Schlichter notes, perhaps it would be a good idea before you start a war, that you can be sure you can finish it.

We are the rich people, they are the servants. It is time we acted like it.

 Once again, D. Parker at the American Thinker treats us to even more ways the current authoritarians and Democrats are like the Nazi party of Germany during World War II, in an article entitled Crybullies and Beyond: Four Additional Ways the Left Resembles Nazis. Like Parker himself, I am an engineer, a wordsmith, and a student of history. In particular, since I was born a mere 7 years after the end of WWII, I have been fascinated by the Nazis and have often asked myself how an advanced civiliation could be so duped by such as Hitler. I have come to realize that the Nazis fed a carefully curated set of lies, to the Germans, while keeping the truth carefully hidden, and so convinced them to do monstrous things to other people. The Holocaust was just one of many muderous endeavors by the Nazis. But they also stole priceless art, crushed churches and imprisoned or exectuted pastors, executed Gypsies, homosexuals, and...well...I could go on.

Parker brings up Godwin's law, which states that “As an online discussion continues, the probability of a reference or comparison to Hitler or Nazis approaches 1.” Clearly Godwin was not talking about actual parallels from our current Democrat party to the Nazi party, which is what Parker is pointing out. And the parallels are striking. Whether it is the indoctrination of our children, or the attempt by the state to come between the children and their parents, or the mass propaganda of the MSM, once you have seen it, it can not be unseen.

Keep in mind too that the number of actual far left thinkers and operatives make up little as 10% and no more that 25% of the population. But their voices are hugely amplified by the mainstream media, who at the same time cover up and suppress the voices of the normal people. It may be difficult to believe, considering the outsized megaphone of the media, but the actual transgendered population is less than 1%. But by recruiting confused children into the cult, they may have uped the numbers to perhaps 1.4%. But doing so is, of course, child abuse, by both school officials and doctors and hospitals. They need to be brought to account.

Then, there is the special case of Blackrock ahd other investment companies. These companies take the funds that people invest with them often for their retirement, and using the outsized voice that gives them, force change by voting in "woke" board members. Understand, Blackrock is not voting their own money. They have no personal stake in, say Exxon-Mobil. Rather, they take other peoples money, and other peoples stake in the company, and vote those shares in ways contrary to what makes the most financial sense of the company. Why are they allowed to do this? When one man, Larry Fink, can use other peoples money to vote their shares in ways that harm those other people, clearly that is wrong. Nobody voted for Larry Fink to be king. But this is why you have Bud Lite insulting its customers, or Target stores, or Dick's Sporting Goods. These financial institutions need to be brought under control.  They could be prosecuted for failing their role as fiduciaries of their customers money.

Please go read Parkers piece and understand that the playbook he is alluding to is much the same playbook as other socialist dictatorships used to exert control over their subjects.  But we are citizens, and we are the ones who are supposed to be in control.  Would a rich man allow his servant to disarm him?  I don't think so. We are the rich men, and the politicians, the Blackrocks, the Bud Lites of this world are our servants.  It is time we acted like it.

Senator John Kennedy Explains Pistol Braces

For those coming late to the party, President Biden's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firarms has put out a rule that essentially bans the use of pistol braces. Pistol braces are used by those who do not have the use of both hands, usually veterans as a result of war injuries. In the clip from C-SPAN below, Senator John Kennedy explains to the audience that the pistol brace does not offer anything in the way of extra speed, power, number of rounds, or even reloading speed. All it does is offer a one handed shooter a better aim. I would think the ATF would want everyone who has to use a gun to have better aim, which means less likelyhood of hitting an innocent bystander.

Watch as Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana explains the pistol brace pretty well at Townhall.com. I have admired his ability to explain things simply, a sign by the way of intelligence. When people make up complicated and extravagant explanations for things, it is usually a sign that either they are making stuff up, or they don't really understand them.

St. Greta of Thunberg: Why Do People Listen To Her

St. Greta of Thunberg was in the news again yesterday.  Why anyone pays attention to this silly young woman is anybody's guess.  She is. like so many so called "activists" today, famous for being famous.  But shouldn't we expect that people who want to influence society have some actual training and experience in the things they speak about?  Would you take her advice on a health issue, for example?  No?  Is that because she is not a doctor and knows next to nothing about your health?  Then why would world "leaders" listen to her on climate issues?

It turns out that...surprise!...St. Greta was wrong about fossile fuels. According to Gabriella Hoffman at the Washington Examiner:

Climate activist Greta Thunberg tweeted five years ago that catastrophic climate change will wipe out humanity unless the world forgoes fossil fuel usage and ceases consumption.
But to Thunberg’s dismay, her prediction didn’t exactly pan out. On the contrary, realizing this, she quietly deleted her tweet in March in anticipation of Wednesday’s anniversary. While gone, it forever lives in our hearts as a reminder not to fret over reactionary, alarmist predictions.

As Hoffman points out in her article, modern civilization depends on fossil fuels to survive. Quite frankly, the idea of so called "renewables" like wind and solar filling the place of fossil fuels is a pipe dream. It will never happen. Similarly with electric vehicles. Ain't gonna happen. If we were to end fossil fuels, the world would be plunged back into the 1800s. Basically everyone would have to grow his or her own food, because there would be no way to ship produce and fresh vegetables over long distances. Are you prepared to plow up several acres of land with a mule and hand plow to plant crops to see you through the winter? Oh, that's right, you don't own several acres. Are you prepared to raise and slaughter your own beef and pork, raise your own hens for eggs? My grandparents did this on roughly 100 acres. Do you own one hundred acres of rich farm land? Didn't think so.

Most of the "activists" haven't thought any of this through, haven't done or read any of the research, and are just mouthing the words they have been taught. The sad fact is that they are Vladamire Lennin's useful idiots, and will be disposed of when they are no longer useful. Hoffman continues making the point that if we want to continue of current standard of living, we must continue fossil fuels.

Let’s begin with oil, which is often blamed for our societal woes. Despite being assigned a dirty image by preservationist environmentalists, it’s the lifeblood of civilization and an essential resource here in America. Could you imagine our first-world society without oil? Life would be miserable, uncomfortable, and harder. Petroleum and its byproducts are ubiquitous in our daily lives. We fuel our cars, boats, and homes with it. Our clothes are derived from it, as are our cellphones and computers. It’s inescapable. Why get rid of it?

Another unappreciated energy source is natural gas. It’s arguably a clean-burning fuel that produces lower emissions. During the Trump administration, the U.S. became a net exporter of liquefied natural gas (dubbed “molecules of freedom”), propelling our nation into energy independence while continuing to lead the world in overall emissions reductions.
Natural gas stoves, for example, are found in over 40 million homes and are preferred by 90% of chefs. Why? They boast faster conduction rates, make meals tastier, and are more economical to use compared to electric stoves. But these benefits, sadly, haven’t stopped many elected Democrats — along with the Department of Energy and the Consumer Product Safety Commission — from trying to phase them out through unrealistic “electrification” efforts.
Last but not least is coal, a common scapegoat of environmentalists despite it being an abundant domestic energy source.
Coal is undoubtedly reliable for heating and powering homes. Globally, it remains the top source of electricity generation and will remain one for years to come despite nations, including ours, closing down plants and curbing its mining. Additionally, there are myriad nonenergy uses, such as cement production, medicines, and carbon fibers. Metallurgic coal also happens to be a key component to steel, a popular building material.
The inconvenient truth is that coal is and will be essential for alternative power sources to flourish. Like oil and gas, it supplements clean energy sources when they fail to work as promised. And electric vehicles are primarily charged using coal-powered energy.
At the same time that the "activist" say that we must give up fossil fuels, they are absolutely against something that can supply all our electricity for the forseeable future without carbon emissions: nuclear. Once again, their knowledge of nuclear power hasn't advanced since around 1950. They are also under the impression that they can have it all with no risks. But life is all about risks, and everything is a trade off. I don't think what the people who are destroying precious art works and raising a ruckus here at home want is to live like a medieval peasants.

Biden Would Turn the American Military On the Population. Why Would Anyone Vote For This Guy

So, our Strategist-In-Chief is at it again, threatening the population with missiles raining down on us from F-15 jet fighters. If we are thinking we might have to go to war with China, we are indeed doomed. You can find it at Townhall.com by Sarah Arnold in a post entitled Biden Claims Americans Would Need A Lot More Than A Gun To Fight The Government.

President Joe Biden once again threatened the constitutional right to own a gun, mocking Second Amendment supporters while discussing violence in the U.S.
While speaking at a fundraising event in California, Biden suggested that the Second Amendment is useless because the U.S. government could crush Americans, saying they would "need an F-16" to take it down.

It is disturbing that the President of the United States thinks it is acceptable to turn the full might of the U.S. military on the men, women and children of the United States. The moment the government uses F-15s, tanks and other military gear and tactics against patriots, the government will lose the ability to govern. It will absolutely be seen by the whole world as the far left fascist criminals they are. But he also doesn't realize that such a feat requires massive numbers of troops because Americans forced to fight their government would not do so as an army but using small team guerilla tactics that strike and then diappear into the population.

But as they say on TV commercials, there is more! Biden claims that the Second Amendment did not permit citizens to own canons. Absolutely untrue. People could and did own canon and the most technologically advanced weapons available at the time of the founding. While I admit that owning an artillery piece would be for the wealthy only, still the Second Amendment says you can keep and bear any type of weapon that can be aimed. So no bombs or grenades. So contrary to what Biden claims, any of the small arms carried by the soldiers, marines, sailors and airmen of the armed forces can be owned and carried by civilians. Indeed that was the idea, that every man be armed (founder George Mason)  So machine guns, true assault weapons, not merely AR-15s, mortars, artillery, even shoulder fired rockets could all be owned.  But the great majority of people would be satisfied with pistols, revolvers, and standard rifles available today.  

As for the idea of prohibited persons, there were few prohibitions on citizens owning weapons. Of course prisoners were disarmed, but one usually regained the right once one served his time. While I don't think making violent felons prohibited persons, I think that nonviolent offenders should have their right to arms restored.

Again in 2021, Biden claimed that from day one, the Second Amendment "limited the type of people who could own a gun and what type of weapon you could own. You couldn't buy a canon."
However, the president's statements are false.
According to the Second Amendment, Americans are not limited to who can "keep and bear arms" or what kind of firearms people can keep and bear.
Update: I thought I was the only one who got a bit miffed about Biden's threat to sic F-16s on us. But I was wrong. David Harsanyi at The Federalist has an article blasting Biden and his speech entitled Noted Constutional Scholar Joe Biden Explains The Second Amendment.
Moreover, contending, as the president does, that your weapon is basically useless because the state can simply scramble F-16s and murder you and everyone you love doesn’t really convey the message he thinks it does. What it tells me is that Biden might be a sociopath and we all need tanks.
Yes, our President is not merely a demented old fool, he is also crazy.

PETA Beclowns Itself

 I don't usually report on PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals because they are usually silly beyond words.   The latest, reported in the American Thinker by Eric Utter tries to convince us to become vegans. The piece is titled PETA says 'supremacy' is why people think it's 'okay' to eat other animals. Of course, they are wrong on all counts, but let's start with this:

Okay. And why does PETA think it's okay for animals to eat other animals?
The organization was certainly well prepared for that query, and replied via tweet: “Most of the animals who kill for food could not survive if they didn’t. That's not the case for us. We are capable of making ethical decisions.”
Yes, because, as you just admitted, we are superior.

As one who eats a carnivore diet, which is as close to zero carbohydrates as possible, I have studied the proper human diet fairly thoroughly. The proper human diet is one that our ancient prehistoric ancestors  themselves at for hundreds of thousands of years. They were eating basically a carnivore diet before they became Homo Sapiens. If you have ever walked through the woods, did you see any broccolli, brussels sprouts, cabbages? Indeed, besides the occasional fruits in season like raspberries, our ancient ancestors would find little sustenance in plants. And anthropology has shown this to be true. It also has shown that our ancient hunter gatherers were tall, strongly built, and showed little disease and few cavities.

Anthropolgy also shows us that with the advent of agriculture and the eating of a grain based diet around 10,000 years ago, we suddenly were shorter, had caviities, and many of the diseases of civilization including obesity. Men's lives went from an average of 60-70 years down to 30 years.

Many years ago I read a book by Lierre Keith entitled The Vegetarian Myth which includes Keith's 20 years as a vegetarian. She documents the slow degradation of her health due to the fact that vegtables quite rightly don't want to be eaten and fight back with various toxins that upset your gut and antinutrients that disrupt your uptake of vitamins and minerals. Sshe was exhausted all the time.  Eating a grain based diet caused men to become short, stunted, and sick, and it is still doing it to vegetarians. 

In additon, she points out that she was one of the principled vegetariams who did't want to kill anything. But she discovered that by plowing up the soil to plant crops one kills the entire ecosystem that thrived on that piece of land, not to metion the worms and bacteria that undergird the environment.

How does PETA explain their disdain for those animals and for this ecosystem? They may not be eating the animals, but they are certainly killing them. I don't see a difference really, do you?

Besides that, of all the agricultural land in the world, fully two thirds is marginal and not suitable for crops, but we can raise ruminant animals such as sheep, goats, cattle and feed more people a proper human diet. Seeking the Truth

 Under the title of this blog, Standing By is a tag line, a quote from Glenn Beck, "The truth has no agenda" I try to live up to that quote. The Bible itself is a collection of books outlining God's desire for human beings to live in the Truth, because that is how one lives well and properously. God knows how we should live because He created us. Man falls far short of God's Truth, but God also has a plan to save us ultimately from ourselves, which involved sending His son into the world to live as He instructs, and to die once for all.

At the American Thinker today, John Klar highlights another truth seeker in a piece entitled Naomi Wolf, feminist turncoat. Tucker Carlson had Wolf on an episode of his extended interview show Tucker Carlson Today She is both intelligent, thoughtful and interesting. I doubt I would agree with most of her ideas on feminism, but she also came out against the lies of the COVID 19 lockdowns, masking, and the push for everyone to be vaccinated with what turned out to be totally ineffective mRNA vaccines.

But much like the ire reserved by trans-activists for detransitioners, the mRNA-touting Left pounced viciously on Naomi when she sought to dispel illusions (lies) about the science of COVID vaccines. Consider this effort at character attack by those fearful of Wolf’s truth-seeking:
Many old friends and admirers of Naomi Wolf are horrified. The great figurehead of 1990s "third wave" feminism, who bestrode the highest pinnacles of literature and politics to become an inspiration to a generation of young women, has morphed into something other than the Naomi they thought they knew. ….as Wolf has aligned herself with figures from the political far right and turned on Joe Biden for taking America on a path to totalitarianism with his strategy for fighting Covid-19, her liberal allies have been aghast. ….on Twitter, …she bombards her 142k followers with messages about vaccine side-effects, the profits of big pharma and the negative impact of masks on children.
Oh no, how dare she?! Discussing the ills of corporate profits, the CDC-documented facts of adverse reactions, or the clear insanity of masking and vaccinating children -- that is verboten! Pay no attention to that third-wave feminist behind the curtain, who used her female brain to cast doubt on the COVID mantra --best to attack her personally and discredit her for hanging out with conservatives rather than address her factual allegations.
Wolf even came out and boldly >apologized to conservatives for believing the January 6 insurrection lies. (That must have really burned the gaslighting Left!) What’s next? Will she object to experimental hormone blockers for prepubescent children? Support parents’ rights? This woman is an absolute terror to lie-tellers!
For all that I think some of her feminist ideas are...misguided at best...I think she should be applauded for recognizing the lies that our government has been telling us, and calling them out. And don't forget that Trump was also misinformed by the deep state and their COVID 19 lies. Too bad that he is not able to admit the truth. As for Tucker, he of course is a national treasure, not because he is infallible, but because he also seems committed to seeking the truth. No one can find something if they are not seeking it.

We Don't Need More Gun Laws

 How do felons get guns?  Nobody seems to be asking that question, though if they did, it might change some of the favored policies of the gun control crowd. Tom Knighton discusses a Bangor Daily News article were they decided to actually ask the question, and the results were not what the typical member of the public might believe based on the typical mainstream media fare. Knighton's discussion, at Bearing Arms is How do felons get guns? On publication actually looked.. Of course, those in the gun rights community have known for years. A Department of Justice report spelled it out in excruciating detail

Gentle readers can read what the Bangor Daily News found at the embedded site. Knighton points out that:

However, it should be noted that the “dealers on the street” typically were selling stolen guns. The person arrested didn’t steal them, but that’s not to say they weren’t stolen.
Now, with that said, it’s important to note that on just about everything else, what was presented isn’t unlikely what we already know to be true.

I am glad that someone in the media decided to find out how guns get into the hands of criminals. But it should be obvious that felons can not buy a gun legally from a Federal Firearms Licensed dealer, and they are the only kind.  Even private sellers (people who are selling their own property) are advised to secure a National Instant Background Check System clearance unless they know the buyer.  Instead, straw purchases by people with no criminal record of their own who are vulnerable to the criminal is one way they obtain firearms. Family, some of whom may also be vulnerable is another way. But Knighton wants to discuss something else:

But let’s also address the idea of background checks for private sales. The idea that is seemingly presented here is that felons would be caught up if they were required.
The problem with that is that they already note that a lot of them get them from friends and family. In other words, they’re buying them from people who probably already know they’re prohibited from buying a firearm. That’s already a crime. You don’t need more laws.
Knighton's point is well taken. We don't need any more laws. Indeed, many of these laws are unnecessary and are just used to add charges that are then plead away. The truth is that murder, assault, brandishing and threats with a gun are already illegal. But the possession of an inanimate object should not be a crime, while the misuse of it should be taken seriously by prosecutors.

Stand With God, Or You Are Doomed

Today, at Townhall.com Scott Hogenson tries to explain why church bodies are bending and caving to cultural and political ideologies in an article entitled, appropriately enough, Why Are Churches Caving To Cultural and Political Ideologies? The short answer is that they fear the combined pressure and oppression of the government and media. They fear for their livelyhoods and in some cases for their very lives.  This is understandable, and a very human response.

But Christ tells us in Matthew 10:28 " Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the one who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." We need to stand up to the opperssion now, while it is yet not fully developed, or we will later be in the same situation as in Nazi Germany, in the Soviet Union and in Communist China to name just a few. We need to proclaim Christ, and him crucified, and do as He commanded.  Otherwise, we risk losing the protection of our Lord, as the Israelites did so often in the Old Testament.

Religious persecution in outright tyrannies is terrifying and not likely to reach such extremes in the United States anytime soon. But when the basis of a 2,000 year old faith is denounced as hate and churches are suspect over the language spoken in their liturgy, we all should be very concerned about what happens next.
Mark Twain observed, “History doesn’t repeat itself but it often rhymes,” and the lessons of history are clear; bad things can happen to churches that push back against the state. To paraphrase Made Guys in the protection racket, “That’s a nice little church you got there. Be a shame if anything happened to it.” Small wonder churches are secularizing their doctrine.
When Thomas Jefferson wrote about “building a wall of separation between the church and state,” he was not talking about keeping religion out of the public sphere as leftists and atheists claim. Jefferson was referring to a wall that protects the church - in this case, the Danbury, Connecticut Baptist Association - from persecution by the state.
It is obscene when American churches are pressured into altering doctrine to ingratiate themselves to the state or the culture, or to protect themselves from government abuse. When churches have to ‘go along to get along,’ it’s a corruption of faith. Scripture instructs Christians and Jews to fear God but it’s a travesty when they must also fear government and the culture it promotes.

So, let me just say, right now, that the various homosexual behaviors, including cross dressing, drag queen behavior, so called "transexual" behaviors including both hormone treatments and so called "gender affirming care" all fall under the definition of sexual immorality. Along with these of course are adultery and fornication. All these things are sins against God and our fellow man.

 But Critical Race Theory is also a sin, for God created man in his image. He did not create one race and not another, but all races of men are the same, inheriting the image of God.

Communism is a sin, in that communist seek to force people to give up their property to the state. But God recognizes private property in the Ten Commandments when he issues the admonistion to not covet your neighbors things. God also admonishes us to not kill our chidren even in the womb. This is one of the things that got Israel into trouble, when they fed their children into the fires of Moleck. I could go on, but you get the idea. You can read all about it in the Bible.

Now in saying all this, I must also say that we all of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.  We have not only sinned by what we have done, but by what we haven't done as well.  But God has a plan of salvation, which you can also read about in the Bible. The plan was fulfilled with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We have sinned deeply, and we all deserve God's punishment.. But we can repent, indeed it is what we must do, and be saved. But it means we must abandon what we have been doing, including bowing down to the government and the culture. 

 The fact is that God has already won. We just need to jump on the bandwagon. The fact is that those churches that are standing firm on God's side are continuing to grow. Those that are caving are dying. There is no neutral position. You must pick a side. Either you stand with God, or you are doomed.

Our Criminal Government

 If I were to write our Declaration of Independence today, I would include in the long train of abuses, all that Patricia McCarthy included in her post, plus the many abuses listed in Joy Pullman's piece at The Federalist today entitled Do Any Republicans Think That Ron DeSantis Won't Get Impeached Or Framed By The FBI? It's a serious question. First of all, the FBI along with the DOJ, the various intelligence and law enforcement agencies, have proven to be arms of the Democrat party. Second, by framing, impeaching, and indicting President Trump on phony trumped up charges, they have proven that they will do anything to anyone to ensure a one party state. That one party state will become tyrannous, for it will have no credible opposition. So, does any Republican really think they won't do the same thing to DeSantis? Of course they will.

Anyone who has been watching for seven years — and counting — has seen the nation’s top Republican politician framed, impeached, raided, prosecuted, and now indicted by corrupt spy agencies on behalf of the Democrat Party. Their goal is to send their top political opponent to prison on charges they said were fascist to bring against their own presidential candidates.
After these last seven years, how can anyone not expect that any Republican who questions the unelected, Congress-defying security state won’t get the Trump treatment? If they can and will do it to Trump, they can and will do it to Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, Robert Kennedy Jr., and anyone else who threatens their power. (Clueless candidates like Mike Pence and Nikki Haley don’t.)
Remember, even ineffective, regime-pleasing nice guys Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan were cast as a dog torturer and grandma murderer. But standard media smear operations pale in comparison to media functioning as a security state propaganda tool to frame dissidents for treason.
Pullman paints a pretty bleak picture for us, but I believe it's a true one. If the far left accuses the Republicans of being fascist, you can be they are the fascist. If the far left claims Republicans are domestic terrorists, they are in fact domestic terrorists. You can take it to the bank that they are doing whatever they accuse the right of doing.

The purpose of the Civil Service Act was, among other things, to stop bureaucrats from engaging in electioneering and politics. One could of course vote, but turning an agency into a political weapon was forbidden. Perhaps one thing we could do is to make the directors of such agencies civil service and subject to years in jail and fines for violations. But defunding the FBI would be a good start.

Patricia McCarthy yesterday at the American Thinker had a revealing post entitled When are enough Americans going to realize our government is a criminal enterprise? The mafia and our government operate somewhat similarly in that each offers protection from miscreants in return for "protection money." The difference used to be that we got to choose our various government officials and that the laws were spelled out and written down in advance. The mafia, on the other hand, operated like a feudal lord. But all that has changed. Today elections are routinely rigged such that one no longer has the representation they voted for. The laws are turned on the law abiding, contrary to how the laws are written. The government is doing everything in its power to criminalize and destroy the middle class. We now have a government of organized thugs using our tax dollars against us.

While these so-called progressives have been undermining our constitutional and Judeo-Christian values since the turn of the last century (Woodrow Wilson was their patron saint), it was Obama that took the move toward tyranny from gradual to sudden. Now we are there. Surveillance, censorship, and control are their goal, the Constitution be damned.
Our law enforcement agencies have interfered to affect the outcome of the last three elections. They persecute their political opponents with their typical abuse of the law — lawfare — anyone remotely conservative, anyone perceived as a threat to their power, is on their radar for destruction.
Trump is their number-one enemy for good reason; he actually cares about the American people while they loathe them. The American people are merely an annoying inconvenience to the left. They want us gone, voiceless.
What has happened to those who protested the results of the 2020 election on J6 is right out of the Soviet playbook. What is most enraging about all this? That so many Republicans are guilty of letting it happen; too many of them are on the anti-Trump train. They were never going to upset the uniparty's applecart. Far from it. Mitch McConnell? Mitt Romney? Kevin McCarthy? Dan Crenshaw? Liz Cheney? Just a few of many who have opted to sell out the country. The 149 Republicans who voted to incur $50T in debt over the next ten years are part of the uniparty.
There are too many weak, compromised, and corrupt Republicans to mention, but their capitulation to the radical wing of the Democrat party that is loyal to the CCP has brought this nation to its lowest point in U.S. history. We are in decline by design, by globalist intent, with the full approval of Obama and his wreck-America cronies. We are also in grave danger. Biden's lust to see Putin overthrown has made his persecution of the war in Ukraine the most dangerous since the Cuban Missile Crisis. China has surpassed our military readiness on every score. Evil is on the march, and too few among our elected leaders are willing to rise up and fight.

McCarthy makes the point in the above paragraphs that the uniparty, the Democrats and the Rhinos are actually in league with a foreign and hostile government, acting against the American people. They have created numerous hoaxes, including the climate change hoax, the great pandemic hoax, the radiation hoax I wrote about as well as the fat is bad hoax in order to injure the cattle industry. These hoaxes are created and publicized to create the impression that we are in imminant danger from (name of hoax) and we must do (desired action) now! No time to waste studying and debating!

You can be sure that someone, somewhere is getting rich off of these hoaxes, and you and I are paying for it. Like Orwell's novel 1984, H. L. Mencken's dictum "The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary" was meant as a warning, but our criminal class has taken it as a how-to manual.

McCarthy has laid out a pretty convincing case that our government has become a criminal enterprise designed to keep them in power and money. I urge gentle readers to read the whole thing, and to think about how to throw sand in the machine.

You Have Been Lied To

Science, the real science, being the making of observations, followed by a hypothesis, followed by experimentation to disprove the hypothesis, has been undone by influential "scientists" in a number of fields, to the public's detriment. Real science is never settled. Indeed, the theory of gravity is only a theory yet to be disproved. Once one understands how real science works, one becomes suspicious whenever someone appeals to the authority of a "consensus of scientists," for there can be no such consensus in real science.

One such field is that of nutrition. I have recently read a book by Nina Teicholz entitled Big Fat Surprise Why Butter, Meat and Cheese Belong in a Healthy Diet. The book, of which fully half of it is just footnotes referring to published scientific papers, explains how we came to believe that a low fat high carbohydrate diet LFHC was healthy. It turns out that it is not healthy, and has resulted in the obesity epidemic facing Americans, as well as a whole list of the "diseases of modern civilization." Teicholz spent a decade working on the book, and it shows. The story is one of egotism, a very influential doctor with a flawed idea, narcissism, billion dollar corporate greed of both Big Food and Big Pharma, and of course government connivance. For a look at what a proper human diet might look like, go visit Dr. Ken Berry, who advocates for a low carbohydrate, high fat (LCHF) diet he calls the carnivore diet. But there are many LCHF doctors now, that advocate for a range of LCHF diets depending on individual needs.

It turns out that the public's understanding of the threat to health of radiation has been similarly distorted by the influence of a group of people to fulfill their own agenda. John Dale Dunn, MD brings this to light at the American Thinker today in an article entitled The Nuclear Theory You Never Knew Was Nonsense.

Gentle readers should know that investigating the history of how we came to believe in the Linear-No Threshold Toxicology (LNT) model, that pervades both the radiation and the chemical exposure worlds is to go down a rabbit hole. Just as my investigation of the high carbohydrate, low fat diet sent me down a rabbit hole that has consumed many hours of reading, and videos, there are a number of hyperlinks in Dunn's article, that if followed completely will consume a lot of time. But Dunn has done the yeoman's work to tell us that the LNT is nonsense. Like everything else, the dose makes the poison. A low level of radiation above the background is benificial, known as hormesis.

LNT says there is no safe level of radiation exposure, but obviously, the better rule is the rule of Paracelsus: "All things are poison and nothing is without poison; only the dose makes that a thing is no poison." (The dose makes the poison.) No threshold of LNT throws that maxim out the window.
My negative attitude about LNT was nurtured by a twenty-plus-year interest in the work of Ed Calabrese, U. Mass Amherst, reigning expert on low-level radiation hazards and the theory of heresies (sic-should be hormesis) that asserts a tri-phasic effect of exposure of all kinds — 1) a no effect level, 2) a beneficial effect at low exposure levels, and 3) a toxic effect at higher levels of exposure. My medical experience with drug effects shows that same hermetic diphasic effect — drugs have a sweet spot between no effect and toxic effect.

Please go read Dunn's short article, and as many hyperlinks as you have time for. Understand that this is why we do not have nuclear power in this country, which would be a great boon. Just like the fact that the low fat, high carbohydrate diet made you and me fat, and Big Food and Big Pharma rich, the LNT has denied us the beneficial use of radiation. You have been lied to about fat, about the climate hoax, and about radiation.

For Squirrels and Sech

 Are you one of those who think that the police and military that we hire to protect us would never turn their guns on us?  According to Kurt Schlichter at Townhall.com in an essay entitled They Will Turn On You, you may be whistling past the grave yard.

Chairman Mao, the unspoken hero of our garbage ruling caste, understood that power flows from the barrel of a gun, and it’s not unreasonable to wonder whether the institutions in America that carry guns – law enforcement and the military – and who are supposed to protect us will turn those guns on us if commanded to by the ruling elite.
Stop wondering.
Their answer is that to a greater extent than those of us who grew up in America, when it was a free country before it became our present crypto-leftist tyranny, want to admit, they will. Right now, they are hiding news that undermines their rule. They are censoring opponents. They are locking up political dissidents. And eventually, when the current junta feels truly threatened by the emerging backlash from patriotic citizens, too many of these alleged protectors will kill for their masters – and I mean more than just the occasional and totally unpunished massacres of unapproved dissidents like at Waco and Ruby Ridge.
Pretty harsh? It is harsh, but it’s not wrong. Explain why that is the red line they suddenly stop at when they have blasted through the red lines of lying, of censorship, and of framing the opposition using a two-tier justice system. “Yeah, those things are fine, but we won’t go all the way. Oh no, never.” Where’s the guardrail that is going to block the trend that is now sending SWAT teams out to bust people for praying at abortion clinics from accelerating into actually using those big, scary assault rifles?

Schlichter points out that some of these people are reacting to purely human weaknesses: fear of loss of jobs or financial security, belief that what they are doing is correct, or the belief that we are so dangerous that to kill us is for the benefit of society. Of course, they would be wrong, but that doesn't change the outcome.

We thought we could rely on the members of these institutions to refuse the commands of their leaders if those leaders turned them upon the citizens. We properly hanged Nazis for “just obeying orders” and established a personal responsibility not to be a cog in the gears of tyranny. But look at our law enforcement agencies today. Look at the disgraced FBI, an organization that differs from the Stasi only in that many of its members are fatter. They share the communist secret police’s leftism and the delight spying on and framing citizens. The agents have accepted pursuing political opponents, framing a president, and all manner of lies and deceptions, and we know they accept it all because they don’t resign. A few whistleblowers have come forward, but the vast majority have stayed at their posts, participating indirectly or even directly in the oppression that is the hallmark of this modern Ministry of Truth. We can only hope that those few good apples don’t contaminate the barrel full of bad ones.
Why do they do it? Human weakness. Most have invested in their shabby careers. Most are eying pensions. They go along. They follow orders. And if you think that, given the order and the chance, they will not pull a trigger for the ruling class, well, I have a burnt patch of Texas dirt to sell you. Cheap.
Schlichter paints a gloomy picture for us. The institutions we have depended on to make our society the best that the world has offered, though it is far from perfect, either are, or have failed us. Every one. But then, he also offeres a hopeful note. We outnumber them by about 50 to 1. They have the advantage of being organized, but we can organize too. Keep your guns and ammo for we may need it for squirrels and such.

Alan Korwin: We Need Consequences For Infringements

To gun owners and journalists, the name Alan Korwin has been known for years. He is the author if various states gunowner's guides. Indeed, as he shows here, he is the go to person when you have a question about gun laws. And, in fact, keeping and bearing arms it is pretty confusing and risky as each state has different gun laws, and in some cases, just moving from one county or city to another jurisdiction can put gun owners in serious jeapardy. Therefore, Korwin's work is invaluable.

With that introduction to who Alan Korwin is, let us take a look at his recent article at Townhall.com entitled Giving The Constitution Teeth: The Truth About Aggravated Infringement - A Felony. Korwin's point is absolutely correct, there is no way to hold people accountable for violations, or infringements of rights and provision of the Constitution itself, for the Constitution assumes that those who have taken an oath to defend it against all enemies foreign and domestic will keep their word. Too many have proven they will not do so. Here is what Korwin proposes:

The U.S. Constitution, for all its strengths, revered and imitated worldwide, has a fatal flaw. A weakness of Greek-tragedy proportions. The Constitution lacks punishment for those who would violate its terms. Yes, there are avenues of recourse, but these have been neutered and rendered feckless in so many ways.
Politicians these days believe they can get away with anything, right? Graft, bribes, gaslighting, obtaining office by any means legal or otherwise, all-out bald-faced lies, scare tactics, misappropriation of funds... They’ll use the organs of government to assault domestic opposition (not the same as domestic enemies), place them under arrest, strangle their voices by deplatforming, controlling so-called “news” media and playing them like stenographers, it has gotten totally out of hand. Why? And what to do about it? Even when they’re exposed, red-handed—did you review John Durham’s report?—they seem to skate. Here’s why:
The ultimate protection of our “Life, Liberty and pursuit of Happiness”—a way to force government into compliance—is use of force. Our Declaration of Independence recognized and encouraged that “...whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it..."
That option, which held more meaning right after our bloody founding, has lost some if not all its impact. It’s too extreme, too hard, too violent for subtle infringements and little incursions on our liberties. That allows the thousand cuts to build up until they are intolerable acts. Then use of force is too late. We’re there now. But there’s hope.
What America needs, what our Republic and Constitution need, is strict adherence to a policy of, “No infringement shall be tolerated.” Small encroachments—like licenses to carry arms or speech codes—must subject people proposing such violations to penalties. Gross infringements like, “We’re going to take away your favorite rifle—and of course we’ll keep ours,” require prison terms. Stiff penalties.

I can already hear gentle readers mumbling to themselves "Yeah? Who is going to enforce it. Don't we already have something about depriving people of rights acknowledged by the Constitution under color of law? Why, yes we do. It is 18 U.S Code Section 242. But really doesn't apply to the politicians themselves, though it could apply to the officials of the Deep State. But again, who will enforce it against them when it is the Attorney General himself who is directing these bad actors. But let's hear Korwin out, shall we?

Talking about violating constitutional rights is fine. That’s free speech, protected to an almost holy level. Acting to violate the rights though, like by proposing laws in clear usurpation beyond delegated powers, that is Simple Infringement, a misdemeanor.
Formally proposing infringement legislation is a bad thing. But acting on existing infringements, that is Aggravated Infringement, a felony, with stiff sentences and strict liability, even for a first offense. You cannot offer such tripe into the legislative hopper. It’s like proposing slavery. Argue for it with speech, this is an American’s prerogative. So many of my liberal friends argue for banning guns, taking away guns you own, outlawing the purchase of new guns, making new categories of prohibited people. We must support this, it is a right to speak.
You politicians, elected or appointed, and your bureaucratic functionaries—hired, appointed or in office by law—you are banned from doing these things. Without teeth though, the ban is feckless, as we see all around us. Under these proposed new statutes—you get fined for a first offense, jailed for repeat offenses. Don’t do it.
Unfortunately, Korwin never really answers the question of just who or what institution will enforce these laws. The Supreme Court has proven to be feckless very often. In any case, the cost to get something in front of the court...maybe...would bankrupt the average citizen many times over. The Attorney General is often part of the problem. Even if it is Federal judges, these are appointed individuals who are, sadly not angels themselves.

I agree with Mr. Korwin's idea, but I have my doubts as to its practicality.

Remain Committed to Seeking Truth

 I have mentioned before that you and I, gentle readers, must remain committed to speaking the truth.  For to give in to the Left's redefinition of language and words is to become demoralized in the literal sense.  If we lose the truth, we lose our integrity.  Today, we have two articles dealing with the topic.

The first article is by Laura Hollis at Townhall.com entitled Truth Is The Foundation Of Our Nation. Hollis thesis is that man is corrupt from the start, and must cleave strongly to Godly principles, however short of the mark his efforts cause him to be. But of late, society seems to have given in to the Father of Lies:

In Genesis, the first book of the Old Testament, the introduction of evil in the world starts with a lie. Satan tells the first humans that if they defy the express will of God, they "shall be like gods" themselves, something which is neither true nor possible. Whether one believes in the biblical story of creation as fact or sees it merely as allegory, the lesson is the same: at the heart of the worst human behaviors is the desire to be God, including the belief that the truth is whatever we declare it to be.
History is replete with examples, but a recent one is the transgender phenomenon. We find ourselves being told now by "experts" that men can become women and women can become men merely by declaring that they identify as such. Chromosomal biology, we're told, is irrelevant. Physical differences -- even in competitive sports -- are now deemed immaterial. Demands for fairness and the desire for privacy and safety -- in sports, in bathrooms, in locker rooms, even in prisons -- are no longer considered natural and normal but condemned as irrational "phobias" and expressions of hatred.
This is by no means the first lie that exalts human desire over scientific fact. The abortion movement has depended for decades on the falsehood that the developing child in utero is "just a clump of cells," "not a person," "not a baby." Despite advances in technology that enable us to see the developing child, including surgery in utero and 4D ultrasound, people still deny the humanity of the living human child in his or her mother's womb.
These falsehoods are born of another lie -- the oft-repeated belief that science and religion are antithetical to each other. Science and superstition may be, but science and religion, per se, are not. In fact, much of humanity's greatest technological -- not to mention artistic and literary -- advancements have been inspired by faith and achieved by believers.
In fact, attacks upon God inevitably become attacks upon science. Once the belief in an ultimate source of truth is abandoned, truth itself becomes malleable, dispensable; whatever one wants or needs to be for his or her personal aims.
While man has always been tempted with such lies, in recent decades they have become ever more pervasive. The unholy alliance between government, the media and Big Tech, and now people designated as "experts" who determine for us what is true and false have generated a monster that threatens to strangle the truth in its crib. It is here, where J. B. Shurk at the American Thinker takes us deeper into the lies and propaganda with his article entitled A Government At War With Its People.
Instead, ordinary information enjoyed and shared among regular people is now targeted for classification. An alliance of national governments, international institutions, and propaganda engines disguised as disinterested nonprofits has sprung up to toss "unacceptable" thoughts into garbage piles for "mis-," "mal-," and "dis-" information trash bins. As with everything else in modern society, the cult of expertise has even given us "disinformation experts" to decide what knowledge belongs where.
The small coterie of "disinformation experts" recognized and promoted by governments then monitor what the common people are saying among themselves, cast their nets around anything "unacceptable," and stigmatize those words and thoughts as deserving of censorship. Perhaps one day soon there will be academic degrees in "disinformation" or special licenses distinguishing State-approved professionals as qualified to tell the rest of us what is real. As a rule of thumb, if you want to know what kinds of knowledge governments fear their citizens possessing, look to the subjects that require numerous layers of authority validation before access is granted or titles are conferred. Now the knowledge that governments fear their citizens possessing is simply information outside their control.
Shurk, having fully stated his thesis, delves into the nature of truth, and praising those who seek the truth. As he points out, anyone can be mistaken on a topic, but if someone is dedicated to seeking the truth, he will over time come closer to the truth and abandon lies. But, what damage have the lies done to the fabric of our society? If as Hollis says, truth is the foundation of our nation, one would expect that our societal fabric is moth eaten.
This war directed against Americans' minds has been raging for quite some time. What is different today is its pace and brazenness. Lies about Russia collusion, COVID, vaccine effectiveness, climate change, Biden family corruption, impartial justice, biological sex, American history, border security, debt sustainability, crime rates, gun safety, banking solvency, military engagements, racial disparities, religious doctrine, Western civilization, childhood development, healthy obesity, government surveillance, hydrocarbon energy, human slavery, acclaimed literature, anthropology — no topic is off limits for those who manipulate the public for a living.
Increasingly, the question is not whether the government is lying, but rather how malicious its intentions are. Did bureaucrats mandate mRNA injections that were neither safe nor effective because they are bad at science? Because they needed an alarming reason to rig the 2020 election with mail-in ballots? As a means of rewarding pharmaceutical companies and the politicians they own with windfall profits? As an opportunity to accelerate the World Economic Forum's "Great Reset"? As a way to condition people to think of property, free speech, and personal liberty as "selfish" and instead submit to the national security surveillance State?
Are the climate change cultists committed to taking over farms and ending hydrocarbon fuels because they are too dumb to understand weather patterns, solar and geothermal energies, and chemistry? Because they are committed communists who believe in global government and command-and-control economies? Because they wish to induce instability and famine that will depopulate the planet?
Do extraterrestrial UFO stories confirm that the government has long covered up an important truth, or are they hoaxes meant to distract the public from something else?
Whew! If you read all the embedded articles, I know it will take quite a while to digest them all. But it is important to flush out the constant propaganda being put out by what I call the government-Big Tech-media complex. Much of it has to do with idea of bringing about a communist, one world government and whittling away the population. Both of these things are horribly misguided and evil. Whether they succeed only God knows. But each of us can resist, indeed throw some sand in the machine grinding us down, but telling the Truth.

The Founders Second Amendment

 One of the commentors to this article said that if he didn't know better, he would think it was satire.  But then he noted that the author was on Kurt Schlichter.  But let's get into it shall we?  The article in question is Mandatory Assault Weapons Now! by Kurt Schlichter at Townhall.com.

Before we discuss the possible strenghths of the idea, let's discuss what the rights in the Second Amendment means. The Second Amendment states that "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." Rights properly understood are liberties that one may take advantage of, but one must both assert the right and pay for any expense entailed. So, for example, while one has a right to freedom of the press, the government doesn't buy you a press, paper, and a staff of writers. Similarly, the Second Amendment acknowledges your right to own and carry a weapon, but you must purchase the weapon, ammunition, cleaning supplies, training and range time. Essentially, the rights provided in the Bill of Rights are negative rights.

The Left, however, has a different definition of rights. Under the Left's understanding, if someone has a right, it means that these rights must be provided to the person by society at large, meaning the government. Such rights are thought to be positive rights. The theory under which Obamacare was past would be an example of positive rights. Everyone has a right to health care, which is true enough. Under negative rights, you must pay for your own health care costs, whether that is health insurance, or health savings accounts, or pay as you go. Under the Left's positive rights, the government subsidizes part or all of the costs of your health care. (The fact that they don't actually do what they promised should concern everyone, but I digress.) Schlichter is here taking the Left's word quite literally, and applying it to a right the Left would like to erase.

There is an assault weapon problem in America – too few Americans are ready to do their duty to deter and defeat criminals and tyrants because they do not own the kind of weapons necessary for a free and secure people to remain free and secure. Right now, America has only 1.2 guns per person – this tragic shortage is nothing less than a crisis, considering that each citizen should have a battle rifle and a handgun in order to perform his or her duties.
A modest proposal: Make owning an assault rifle mandatory and have the government supply one to those who cannot afford one. I say we ensure an M16 in every pot.
This only makes sense. If a citizen has a gun, he is a citizen. If a citizen does not have a gun, he is not a citizen. He is a serf at the mercy of his feudal overlords. The right to keep and bear arms is not merely a right but a duty to keep and bear arms – everyone who is a law-abiding and healthy adult must have a real assault rifle and the ammunition to use it to protect himself, his family, his community and his Constitution.
This is a non-delegable duty. Like serving on a jury and paying taxes, you can’t slough this off on others. You have to step up personally. Relying on cops is a cop-out – we must all be first responders, and there’s no better response to criminals and aspiring tyrants than a bunch of Americas packing the same heavy-duty firepower that our soldiers do. We must make it mandatory, because some people are half-stepping, and we must supply those Americans without the means to buy the necessary guns and ammunition with a weapon and bullets so that they too can know the pride of participating fully in their own governance.

I like the idea. Indeed, I have floated it in the past. Every young man would train for two years in the military, and at the end of that time, would take home an M16, 100 rounds of ammunition and a side arm with ammunition. Each year, each man would be obligated to spend two weeks in military training, during which they would bring their weapons and ammunition, and ample range time to be available to refresh their weapons skills. At the same time, a program like this would obligate men to keep themselves fit enough to serve. I think this is what the Founders intended. They certainly never wanted us to have such a large professional army.

Personally, I think the Founders, if they were alive today, would find Schlichter's idea absolutely a good one.

No Forgiveness, and We Won't Forget

 John Daniel Davidson has an article at The Federalist entitled No Forgiveness For Pandemic Sins Until The Guilty Repent. Davidson tells us that to be forgiven, a necessary part of the process is for those who seek forgiveness to admit their guilt and ask for forgiveness. In addition, the guilty must repent, which means they agree not to do whatever they are seeking forgiveness again. None of these things have been done. The guilty have not asked for forgiveness, nor have they admitted their guilt. That means that they will do the same thing, given the chance.

Christianity Today published a curious piece by Paul Miller on Thursday calling for everyone to forgive each other for our supposed “pandemic sins.”
He doesn’t exactly say who sinned, just that “We got things wrong,” and “Some officials made mistakes in the early days.” Things happened. Mistakes were made. It’s time to move on. Miller’s argument is basically a warmed-over, lightly Christianized version of the essay Brown University economics professor Emily Oster wrote for The Atlantic last November, which argued for a “pandemic amnesty” on account of how “uncertain” and “complicated” things were in the face of a once-in-a-century pandemic like Covid. The ruling class did its best, OK?
Oster’s piece elicited well-deserved scorn from many on the right, including our own Joy Pullmann, who noted that a genuine amnesty “requires an admission of guilt and a commitment to repairing the wrongs done.” The absence of such an admission and commitment to change, says Pullmann, is “an indication that you’re going to do it again,” and makes it impossible to rebuild trust.
Of course, the people responsible for shutting down the economy, closing schools and churches, destroying countless businesses, and condemning the elderly to die alone in their hospital rooms are not at all sorry about what they did. To this day, they don’t acknowledge any wrongdoing whatsoever. Certainly not Anthony Fauci, who in an April interview with The New York Times defiantly faulted ordinary Americans for failing to listen to him, the self-proclaimed embodiment of science.
The same people who needlessly imposed massive learning losses on schoolchildren, or barred families from burying their dead, then foisted an ineffective vaccine on the public and tried to shame or coerce everyone into taking it, regardless of their age or health status. Plenty of Americans, including those in the military and medical professions, were faced with the terrible choice of taking a shot they didn’t trust or losing their careers and livelihoods.
None of the people who did this are sorry about it. In fact, they’re proud of it — and they will absolutely do it again the next chance they get...
So, no. No forgiveness for pandemic sins, and we will not forget. 

Here in North Carolina, our Covid Czar was one Dr. Mandy Cohen, a woman who took great delight in telling North Carolinians what to do, where they could go and not go and other dictatorial edicts with zero scientific basis. She shut down church services, and many were cowed into staying away. She shut down sports events and made going to a restaurant a torturous event. I could never figure out why one had to wear a mask to walk to the table, but then one could take it off when one sat down. Clearly it had nothing to do with spreading the disease and everything to do with social control. Unfortunately, she is going to be the new CDC Director.

Kleptocrats Keep Doubling Down on Climate Change, Despite Facts That Say Otherwise

 Following on yesterday's post pointing out that the push to deprive you of meat in the name of climate change is really a power grab by the kleptocratic elites, comes a piece by Gabriella Hoffman at Townhall.com entitled Want to Save the Planet? Stick to Eating Meat.

Preservationists, including Bill Gates, will not like the following development: Lab-grown meat– seen as a “climate-friendly” alternative to animal agriculture– is, in fact, worse for the environment than red meat.
Last month, researchers at University of California at Davis (UCD) published an eye-opening paper finding lab-grown meat is more energy intensive and responsible for a higher carbon footprint than beef, for instance, reared by farmers and ranchers.
Animal cell-based meat, (ACBM), or lab-grown meat, they concluded, “is likely to be orders of magnitude higher than median beef production if a highly refined growth medium is utilized for ACBM production.”
ACBM “meat” has a global warming potential that is “four to 25 times greater than the average for retail beef,” the study added.
Ouch. Talk about an inconvenient truth.
Yesterday, I spelled out that properly managed herds of ruminant animals is good for the ebvironment because these animals build up the soil and reverse desertification. I have observed before that many animals change the environment to suit them. You know that man does this, but I have observed that even bees promote the flowering plants that they depend upon. After we foolishly eliminated the giant herds of buffalo that kept the Great Plains healthy, we discover that we can use cattle to do the same thing. In addition to making and keeping our environment healthy, these herds provide nutrition for us, making us and them a vital part of the environment. This is exactly 180 degrees from the sick notions of our kleptocratic elites.
Eating wild game meat, another red meat, also has innumerable benefits–especially if you hunt it. The University of Wyoming says consuming deer, elk, and other wild game meat is recommended. Why? It’s rich in protein, B-vitamins, iron, and zinc and inherently boasts low levels of saturated fat.
Fake “plant-based” meats, in comparison, are far worse for your health. One Harvard University scientist warned, “Some of those products, even though they contain high amounts of plant-based protein, may also contain unhealthy ingredients, such as high amounts of sodium or unhealthy fats.”
The Dublin Declaration, a consortium of scientists who want objectively back in studies relating to animal agriculture, said divorcing livestock from the environment would have ruinous effects. Their declaration proclaimed livestock boost the environment by “recycling in various ways the large amounts of inedible biomass that are generated as by-products during the production of foods for the human diet.” Other inherent benefits include “carbon sequestration, improved soil health, biodiversity, watershed protection and the provision of important ecosystem services.”
As Hoffman writes, despite these facts, the kleptocrats are doubling down, claiming to know better than those that actually raise and depend on ruminants for a living, and insisting on their foolish desire to eliminate the cattle industry. They want to do this because they want to steal our substance, and make themselves rich by impoverishing us.

Climate Change Is A Cover for Our Kleptocrat Elite To Steal Us Blind

I have noted before that the notion that ruminant animals, such as cattle, are harming the environment by emitting so called greenhouse gases is total nonsense. Cows do not fart and burp out new carbon dioxide. Rather, they are part of the continuing recycling of existing carbon dioxide. Furthermore, by pooping out the remains of their diet and stomping this into the soil, they store a great amount of carbon and other minerals into the soil. Indeed, by properly managing herds of ruminants one can slowly bring back deserts to life. Cows then, are not the problem but rather the solution to the climate catastrophes predicted by the Left. In addition, in a world where malnutrition stalks the population everywhere, perhaps it is time that we get on board with a proper human diet and having more cows (and sheep and goats) available to provide it is just what the world needs.

But it seems the Left, in search of every more power and money wants to restrict us to eating manufactured foods, which of course puts money in the pockets of Big Food, Big Pharma, and of course Bill Gates. Ultimatley, this is not about bringing about an earthly Utopia. No, that is just the come on to get you to agree. The real goal is to enrich the kleptocartic global "elites" who are in reality the global kleptocracy.

So it is that I read today at PJ Media that the Irish Goverment Wants To Spend 600 million euros to Sacrifice 65,ooo Cows for Climate Change by Ben Bartee.

The “climate change” ideology increasingly takes on pseudo-religious aspects, demanding sacrifices from its adherents at its altar. God is dead in the West, after all, but He must be replaced with something as humans are inherently inclined to seek transcendence and meaning.

This is a worldwide phenomenon, coming to a blue state near you. I have previously written about the Dutch Farmer Citizen Movement, which won a historic victory in the Parliament earlier this year running essentially on the single issue of rolling back the technocrats’ plans to shut down their food production and ultimately replace them with a corporatized farming system raising bugs at scale, as the World Economic Forum has encouraged.
Of course, go read the entire article, and if you have time, watch the Ted Talk by Allen Savory. I want to take a few moments to explain where vegetarians and vegans go wrong, however.

Many in the vegan and vegetarian community do so in the belief that they are being more virtuous by not killing any creatures. But in fact, every farmer of plants must kill countless creatures in order to have a crop to sell. First, they destroy an entire habitat which supports birds, insects, deer, bears, indeed all sorts of living creatures, Then they dig up the stumps and plow the ground, which destroys worms, bacteria, fungi, and turns the ground nearly sterile. They apply artificial fertilizers to make the plants grow better, but the plants still depletes the soil of minerals. Worse still, these minerals and vitamins in the plants aren't very bioavailable to the people who eat them.

But there is an ongoing war in which insects, larger beasts such as deer, and other creatures that must be killed in an ongoing effort to have a crop left to sell. Birds devour sprouting bean seeds, as do rabbits. Birds eat fruit crops such as apples, while insects deposit their eggs on fruits in an effort to give their babies a good start in life. Caterpillars eat the leaves of broccoli and brussels sprouts, cabbages and lettuce. Corn borers ruin corn, while the infamous bole weavil eats...well...cotton. All these have to be killed or driven off with various pesticides. Of course, you don't realize it because the stuff that makes it to market doesn't have any such damage. Why? Pesticides!

Now, let's look at cows. First of all, around 75% of the arable land is not suited to row crops. It is either too rocky, too hilly, or it doesn't get enough rain at the right time of year for crops to grow. But this same land can support herds of cattle and sheep. If you keep large enough herds of ruminant animals moving from pasture to pasture through out the year, one can actually build up the soil while providing a proper human diet.

But, of course that is not what our kleptocrat garbage "elite" want. No, what they want is to reduce everyone to such utter poverty that we are too busy keeping body and soul together for another day, so that we don't pay attention to the fact that they are stealing our substance for themselves.

Biden Leading Us To The Rubicon

I urge gentle readers to go to Matthew G. Andersson's analysis of the Biden administrations efforts toward war at the American Thinker entitled Why The White House Wants War and read it carefully. It is one of those pieces that are so dense, one can not take a lot of quotes, because the entire piece is quote worthy. Let me just quote the end:
An unsettling aspect of the Biden administration’s foreign policy is that, while it seeks war, it isn’t prepared to fight one (especially with a putative civilian commander qualified for 25th Amendment removal): it invites a confrontation with Russia (and to some extent with China) not to win, but in an unprecedented perversion of U.S. national security interests, to lose: it has declared America, Americanism, and a majority of Americans, as its enemy. It will use Russia as a tool for its own domestic “transformation” which means the attempted dismantling of U.S. constitutional law. The White House wants war, but an effective internal civil war that results in a reconstructed government, legal system, and political order. Biden was installed not just as an Obama proxy, but as a signal of weakness. To appreciate the risk, imagine Israel’s security interests headed by such a figure, rather than a Netanyahu.

Let all that sink in. This makes sense out of the confusing actions of the Biden administration. When Julius Caesar decided that the Roman Republic and Senate was not doing its job as he saw it, he took the fateful step of crossing the Rubicon River with his army, an act that was both illegal and unprecedented. Would he be allowed to get away with it or would there be civil war? We know how that turned out. According to Andersson, Biden is leading us toward a figurative Rubicon, daring us at every turn to stop him. Stop him we must.
