Joy Pullman, editor at The Federalist has an interview with EWTN television network in which she said that If The Supreme Court Backs Down From Overturning Roe, It Will Prove It's Politicized Beyond Repair. You should watch the whole interview, but you can read the significant parts if you are in a hurry. I found this extremely telling:
“People who are on the political left often are a little bit more clear-eyed about the fact that the eradication of Christianity and of free speech and of our constitutional and natural rights is really one of their actual goals. The two really cannot coexist,” she said. “So the natural law and the natural order that the U.S. Constitution and other rights-based democracies like Finland uphold, that is incompatible with special protections for identity groups. So it’s no surprise to me that the prosecutor has appealed this. And this case could end up going to the European Court of Human Rights, which is why this could end up affecting not only Europe but also U.S. law.”I have long known the truth of what she said, but was shocked to hear it said out loud. This is why so many of us on the right are so insistent that we must win the culture war. It is also why we often have contempt for people who claim to be conservative, but then vote with the Left when the situation really counts. Pullman is correct though. If the Supreme Court doesn't overturn Roe, it will prove the Court is not a reliable enforcer of our laws and our rights. I suspect the Left has made a mistake in intimidating the so called conservative member of the Court. Everyone knows that you never show a bully any weakness. Never let them know you are scared, that their intimidation is working, for if you do, they will own you.
