The Epoch Times is reporting that Amazpn is banning books because "hate speech." Whether it was the Nazis burning books to supress the authors' ideas, or a company banning books because the owner doesn't like the ideas expressed in them, the word for it is 'censorship.'
If it were indeed 'hate speech' that was being censored, I would have a problem with it, because true hate speech is so obvious that it offends without any help from either companies or governments. But what Amazon is doing is attempting to deny reality. Transgenderism is not reality, indeed it denies reality.
Amazon, that made its money by selling books, now wants to ban them. When will they start to change books that they feel were written in error, such as Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn?. In these times, speaking the truth is a revolutionary act.
