Why people carry guns

Most people who choose to carry a firearm for self defense will, sooner or later, have someone ask them the question, "why do you carry a gun?". Here's a look into why.

Go read. I have found that most of the people I have talked to feel much as author does. They aren't out looking for someone to shoot, and most pray they will never have to use their weapon off a range. I know I feel that way. But, I also feel it is a civic duty to carry a gun wherever I can. The gun is a great equalizer. With it, the women, old, the weak, and the unfit can stand up to those who would take away their dignity. Without it, society devolves to who can be the most barbaric to whom.
